Year 7 Start of Year Camp

A great start to Otamatea High School
Last Tuesday the 4th of February, the Year 7 troop of students and Year 13 prefects got on the buses and headed down to Otamatea Marae right by the beautiful Kaipara harbour for Year 7 camp 2020. When we arrived at the Marae we settled in and picked our beds. We then split into our camp groups and excitedly ran off for our first activity.
All the activities were fun, there were activities like archery, target shooting, swimming in the harbour and playing team games. There was an amazing race with heaps of tasks to complete, like finding hidden pegs, collecting water from a bucket and other fun things. This year is going to be an amazing year.
The food was great, the weather perfect and it was so much fun getting to know the Year 13 prefects.
