The Year 7/8 syndicate have been focusing on different cultures this term in Social Studies.
Students studied a specific cultures beliefs, traditions, ceremonies and what sets their culture apart from the rest of the world.
Some classes bought culturally significant food in to share- this ranged from Potato pancakes (Ireland), Sushi (Japan), Yorkshire pudding and gravy (England), Danish pasties (Denmark). Students also went above and beyond and created an object from their culture.
This was a really successful unit and an enjoyable experience for end of term.
